Gina C. Adam is an assistant professor in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering and leads the Adaptive Devices And Microsystems (ADAM) group.

She received a Ph.D. degree in electrical and computer engineering in Dmitri Strukov's group and a M.A. degree in teaching and learning from the University of California, Santa Barbara in 2015. She was a research scientist with the National Institute for R&D in Microtechnologies (IMT Bucharest) and a visiting scholar at École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL). Amongst her scientific achievements are the first demonstration of a stacked RRAM crossbar with 4 bit precision, high yield functional integration of stacked RRAM onto foundry CMOS and the first perceptron network implemented in monolithically integrated RRAM crossbars. Her honors include the International Fulbright Science and Technology award (2010), the Mirzayan fellowship at the U.S. National Academy of Engineering (2012), the Marie Sklodowska Curie individual fellowship from the European Commission (2016), the AFOSR Young Investigator Program Award (2023) and the NSF CAREER award (2023). She also received the GW Engineering Outstanding Early Career Teaching Award (2022) and GW-wide Morton A. Bender Teaching Award (2023).

Lei Zhang is a Ph.D student in Electrical Engineering since Fall 2019. He received his M.S. degree from George Washington University in Spring 2019. He has been working in the Adaptive Devices And Microsystems Group since Fall 2018 on simulations of memristive neural networks and VLSI circuit design.

Imtiaz Hossen is a PhD student in Electrical Engineering at George Washington University. He has a M.Sc. degree in ECE from Marquette University and a B.Sc. degree from University of Dhaka. He joined our group in Fall 2020 to work on nanofabrication of memristive devices.

Zhuolin Yang is a PhD student in Computer Engineering since Spring 2021. She received a MS degree in Computer Science from George Washington University in 2020. She joined the Adaptive Devices And Microsystems Group in Spring 2020 and is working on training algorithms for distributed memristive circuits.

Osama Yousuf is a PhD student in Computer Engineering. He received a BS degree in Computer Science with a Minor in Mathematics from Habib University in 2020. He joined the Adaptive Devices And Microsystems Group in Spring 2021 to work on robust neural network algorithms for memristor-based accelerators.

Joseph Kilgore is a PhD student in Computer Engineering since Fall 2021. He has a BS degree in Computer Science and Engineering from University of Toledo and was a Research Technician at Case Western Reserve University. He joined the group to work on biologically inspired artificial intelligence.

Shweta Joshi is a PhD student in Electrical Engineering. She has a MTech in Material Science from IIT Kharagpur in 2023, MSc in Physics from Doon University in 2020 and BSc in Physical Sciences from University of Delhi in 2018. She joined the group in Fall 2023 to work on material engineering for reliable memristors.

Joseph Riem is a Masters student in Computer Engineering. He received his B.S. degree in Computer Engineering from the University of Illinois at Chicago in Fall 2020. He joined the group in Fall 2022 to work on memristor-based circuit design and neural network prototyping.

Damjan Pavleski is a Masters student in Electrical Engineering. He earned a BS degree in Electrical Engineering with Minor in Computer Science from Jacksonville University in 2022. He joined the Adaptive Devices And Microsystems Group in Fall 2022 to work on simulation and fabrication of memristor devices.

Yihui Wang is a Masters student in Electrical Engineering. He has a BS degree in Optoelectronic Information Science and Engineering from Yanshan University in 2020. He joined the Adaptive Devices And Microsystems Group in Fall 2023 to work on hardware implementations of spiking neural networks.

Karthikeya Gummadi is a Masters student in Computer Science. He has a B.Sc. degree in Computer Science and Engineering from Gandhi Institute of Technology and Management in 2023. He joined the Adaptive Devices And Microsystems Group in Spring 2024 to work on neuronal modeling.

Munya Kaudani is a Masters student in Electrical Engineering. He holds a BEng degree in Electronic Engineering from the National University of Science and Technology where he graduated in 2022. He joined the Adaptive Devices and Microsystems group in Spring 2024 to work on neuro-inspired computing algorithms.

Vijay Vanapalli is a Masters student in Computer Science since Fall 2023. He received his B.Sc. degree in Electrical Engineering from San Jose State University in 2018. He joined the group in Spring 2024 to work on neuromorphic vision.

Henry Mackay is an undergraduate student in Electrical Engineering. He joined the group in Spring 2022 to work on implementing open source PDKs (Process Design Kits) for the design and fabrication of memristor-based chips.
