PhD students

Position on Neuro-inspired computing hardware
Interested in hardware for machine learning? Join us on the development of neuro-inspired computing circuitry using emerging memristive technologies. If selected, you will work on hardware development based on large scale hippocampal models and on software / hardware co-design for machine learning training accelerators, be a key team member in collaborations with U.S. national institutes and industry partners and get exposure to fellowships and internships.

The ideal candidate should have:
- a Bachelor’s degree or a Masters degree in Electrical / Electronics / Computer Engineering.
- background knowledge and skills in analog circuit design
- interest in neural networks and neuroscience-informed computing / computational neuroscience
- programming skills (e.g. C/C++, Python, etc.) preferred, but not required
- communication and teamwork skills
- interest in contributing and maintaining open source tools and documentation

Masters students

The ADAM lab welcomes Masters students currently enrolled at GWU who are interested in pursuing research as part of their MSc thesis. E-mail Dr. Adam with a CV and transcripts to set up a meeting.

Undergraduate students

Hard working undergraduate students at all levels are welcome in the ADAM lab. They are considered active lab participants, trained for equipment as needed, included in lab meetings and encouraged to apply for scholarships and internships.

We ask for a commitment of at least 10 hours/week for at least two consecutive semesters. Interested students should send their transcript (and resume/CV if available) to GinaAdam@gwu.edu.
